The Mysterious Influence on the US of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus

Posted by James Bowery on Sunday, 15 March 2009 17:54.

The Washington Post reports that:

At least 3 percent of District residents have HIV or AIDS, a total that far surpasses the 1 percent threshold that constitutes a “generalized and severe” epidemic, according to a report scheduled to be released by health officials tomorrow.
...
“Our rates are higher than West Africa,” said Shannon L. Hader, director of the District’s HIV/AIDS Administration, who once led the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s work in Zimbabwe. “They’re on par with Uganda and some parts of Kenya.”

If you think that the significance of this is merely limited to the general decadance of the capitol of the United States, think again:

The front page of my website Laboratory of the States lists United States demographic variables sorted by the degree to which they influence the prediction of other United States demographic variables.

Top of this list?

HIV Infection!

Prior to including incarceration statistics in the mix, the top demographic variable was cumulative AIDS cases

Something big is definitely going on with this virus and it seems somewhat mysterious.

An interesting observation here is that the correlation between cumulative AIDS cases and HIV positive tests in 2001 is 95% but the correlation between cumulative AIDS and the conjunction of a largely black or hispanic population with a largely Jewish white population is 98%.

In other words, as of 2001, available ethnic demography better explained regional incidence of AIDS than did the available HIV infection data.

Some may object on the grounds that the 2001 HIV data on Washington, DC was missing (a fact itself demanding explanation), hence the ethnic correlation was skewed by the availability of ethnic data on the extreme case of Washington, DC.  But even if we toss out the DC data, we still get a 92% correlation (with significantly less missing data).

Going Home Again

By The Narrator

As impossible as it may seem, there are White people who have been so conditioned towards hating their own race, that they recoil over the assertion that a White Culture (let alone race) exists. Black culture? No Problem. Hispanic Culture? Why, of course. Asian Culture? Visible and obvious. White Culture? What? What’s that? ... Never existed!!!!!!

Why? Maybe because White culture has been so overwhelmingly dominant for the past 3,000 years, that its existence casts too bright a light on the lesser contributions of the other races. Maybe because, for the most part, people today take Western Civilization for granted as Civilization period. Colored peoples’ cultures are viewed as kind of like food chains with franchise rights or a monopoly on a slogan or symbol.

So what is White Culture? It is Western Culture and Civilization, which is to say, European Culture and Civilization, whether it be found in Europe or her colonies around the world.

It is our way of thinking and acting or re-acting. It is the way we gather in groups and produce our rule-of-law to reflect our desire for our notions of a harmonious society.

It is in the way we express ourselves in our music, which tends towards the melodic rather than the rhythmic. In music we seek the divine and the glorious. Non-Whites make music that aims for the hips, while Whites make music that aims for the Heavens.

It is the way we express ourselves in our art, which seeks out the thoughtful and reflective, rather than the opportunism of self/collective adulation that infests so much of non-White art. And in our literature, in which we are inspired (rather than reviled) by the honorable and idealistic, even when tragic, rather then the self-serving and opportunistic.

It is our ability to look beyond our most immediate wants and needs and see ourselves, both individually and collectively, as part of an as yet unfinished tapestry of a history to which we ourselves are but a small part. It is our innate ability to ponder and reflect in both melancholy and joy, the “what-if’s” and the “might have been” and the “what is yet to be”. It is in our wondering what is over the next hill, and finding out. It is in our ability to behold nature, filled with both sorrow and delight at beauty for beauty’s sake.
It is in our feeling that sense of spiritual ecstasy when gazing upon a glorious sunrise, or the feeling of reflective calm and thoughtful peace when viewing a long sunset. White Culture is, simply put, what flows in the veins of every Son and Daughter of European descent. It cannot be described, only experienced. And it can only be experienced by those who are born of it. And being that we Whites are only 13% of the World’s population and dropping (non-Whites making up 87% of the world’s population), it is an experience that may soon fade from all knowledge and memory.

A question of repatriation

Posted by Guessedworker on Saturday, 14 March 2009 00:22.

A Guardian thread I was patronising today threw up a very premature but always interesting question from a serial CiF commenter and (I think) BNP member:-

skimmer

Cookfield

Could you please lay out a working model for fair and humane repatriation with regard to this issue. I don’t think this has ever been done before on CiF. I think it is time to debate this because of the approaching conditions.

( I used to get censored for suggesting a relationship between gobalism- immigration and pending economic collapse, and, why we should be digging our back gardens up- that was a while before any of the current economic chaos began - seems quite relevant now, just as some form of repatriation will become when they fully grasp the situation that is developing.)

A few moments later he spoiled things a little with this rider:-

skimmer

Also, can someone please suggest how we can start ot reassure, further integrate and begin reward those groups who have settled here and made a positive contribution to this country. Their last images of our country are certainly not going to be through the closing tailgates of Hercules transport planes.

Of course, it’s too early for working models.  The data required to build a model to include political matters such as possible strategies, and budgetary matters such the number of movements involved, the costs of those movements, available finance, social cost reductions, and so on, is nowhere near assessible on the spur of the moment!  To put such a model together will surely take a Commission sitting for many months and comprising the most competent political strategists, demographers, Treasury auditors and foreign affairs specialists available.

So, given my profound limitations, this was what I could say to Skimmer:-

A genocide in South Africa

Posted by Guest Blogger on Friday, 13 March 2009 12:49.

By David Hamilton

To attain a goal through ideology you need two things: a vision for a better future but also a vision of terrible evil if the alternative to the vision is followed.  An ideology always benefits some elite groups, and the one-world ideology benefits multi-national corporations that get the mineral rights.  The process is very corrupt: Western governments appropriate tax money paid by their citizens and transfer it to elites in the Third World for the mineral rights to go to multi-national corporations; this also frees populations to be brought to the west as cheap labour and our work to be relocated where people live on subsistence wages.

Having encouraged wage-slaves from the Third World they publicly apologise for historical slavery!

There is racial genocide of the South African Boers taking place as I write and the Western media know all about it because they have agents and reporters there, but keep it from the outside world, presumably to allow it to go on.

It follows on from what was done to French Algerians, the Belgians of Congo, and the Portuguese of Angola and Mozambique, and what is happening in Zimbabwe.  All these peoples were violently forced off lands which their ancestors had occupied for centuries. It was done with the encouragement of the US and British governments and made possible by finance taken from their own taxpayers for the purpose.  What is behind this?  It is what is now called Globalisation, which is a euphemism for the attempt to create a New World Order.

Argumentum ex Television

In doing the philosophical work necessary to completely dismantle liberalism and postmodernist thought, we struggle and strive with a body of values and thinking, which so often seems to elude us. We look to see where it is codified - despite its marvelous consistency on many questions, it is apparently nowhere codified. We look to see its arguments - despite the ubiquity of its conclusions, we see no arguments as such anywhere; with the exceptions of the murmuring of leftist cliques in the Frankfurt School, Boasian anthropology and psychoanalysis. Yet how did the lib in the street absorb the conclusions of these movements while being totally ignorant of the movements themselves?

The schools of thought we are striving to displace - liberalism, postmodernism, aracialism - seem to have been disseminated in a way that is historically unique. Whereas we treat them with the dignity reminiscent of classical intellectual movements, attempting refutations of them and doing what we can to attack their premises, it seems to me that these philosophies actually were not disseminated through reasoned argument, but rather absorbed through watching television. Hence the ubiquity of our ideological enemies’ representatives, hence their permeating the entire cultural sphere- hence the general ignorance with which these positions are accepted. What we have are the results of 50 years of television’s echo chamber being left to imprint itself on the Western mind. Hence the pre-rational nature of so many people’s attachments to liberal ideas.

What is the nature and philosophical dimensions of the “Argumentum ex Television”?

When the Royal Anglian Regiment met al Muhajiroun

Posted by Guessedworker on Thursday, 12 March 2009 12:13.

Simon Darby posted this interesting piece of film on his website.  We all saw the little notch of al Muhajiroun members taking the opportunity to protest the presence of British soldiers in Muslim lands.  It would, in my view, have been perfectly legitimate had these Muslim soldiers not been present in our land.  Their presence on the streets of Luton, however, was quickly resolved by those who came down to applaud the Royal Anglians - a denouement, as Simon Darby points out, not shown to the nation by the BBC.  Can’t imagine why.

Predator capitalists in the capital

It seems impossibly fanciful, almost like a script for a Bond movie.  A clutch of mega-corporations hatches a plan for the global control of an absolute fundamental for life itself: food.  The plan calls not simply for the global domination of food supply, but for placing Nature beyond the law so farmers and growers must buy their seeds from the corporations.  And because those seeds are genetically manipulated to produce barren plants, they must do it afresh every drilling season.

Cue the suave, unkillable good guy who always steals the villain’s very delectable girlfriend?  ‘Fraid not this time.  It’s down to freedom-loving Americans to save the world from predatory capitalism, with maybe some help from Ron Paul.  There’s about a week left in which to inform Congress about right and wrong as they pertain to this bill.

From that last link (Campaign for Liberty):-

Pay special attention to
Section 3 which is the definitions portion of the bill-read in it’s entirety.
section 103, 206 and 207- read in it’s entirety.
Red flags I found and I am sure there are more…........
Legally binds state agriculture depts to enforcing federal guidelines effectively taking away the states power to do anything other than being food police for the federal dept.
Effectively criminalizes organic farming but doesn’t actually use the word organic.
Effects anyone growing food even if they are not selling it but consuming it.
Effects anyone producing meat of any kind including wild game.
Legislation is so broad based that every aspect of growing or producing food can be made illegal.  There are no specifics which is bizarre considering how long the legislation is.
Section 103 is almost entirely about the administrative aspect of the legislation.  It will allow the appointing of officials from the factory farming corporations and lobbyists, and classify them as experts and allow them to determine and interpret the legislation.  Who do you think they are going to side with?
Section 206 defines what will be considered a food production facility and what will be enforced up all food production facilities.  The wording is so broad based that a backyard gardener could be fined and more.
Section 207 requires that the state’s agriculture dept act as the food police and enforce the federal requirements.  This takes away the states’ power and is in violation of the 10th Amendment.

An MR reader sent me the following clip, which is actually of a guy reading an Op-ed News article titled “Monsanto’s Dream Bill”:-

Cynicus Economicus - a blog you ought to read

Posted by Guest Blogger on Tuesday, 10 March 2009 23:53.

Cynicuseconomicus is a UK-centered economics blog, which develops a clear if somewhat pessimistic perspective on the state of the UK and US economies. Its most enjoyable facet is the clear discussion of the technical realities of the current economic situation - interesting to someone who wants to gain an understanding without an advanced economics degree. Things are explained felicitously.

The links on the left hand margin of the blog allow for an easy sequential reading of the past analytical work done on the blog, and one is quickly brought up to speed.

One of the recent revelations posted on Cynicus was the fact that the Bank of England’s policy of “Quantitative Easing” - in fact simply means the creation of money from nothing.  Thus being analogous to the printing of money undertaken by Zimbabwe, or Weimar Germany. He indicates on the blog that Britain is bankrupt and they are basically creating money from nuffin’ in order to finance - well, the status quo, basically.
